Thurrock Council
Our contract involves the removal/treatment of asbestos in conjunction with Thurrock Council’s Asbestos Remediation Programme. Key to the high level of tenant satisfaction is the appointment of a Pectel Liaison Officer to ensure the smooth running of each individual job. Special attention was given by our Liaison Officer to the old and infirm or tenants with young families (i.e. making appointments after the early morning school runs and siting a mobile welfare unit adjacent to the property for the tenant’s use and comfort for the duration of our works. The welfare facility incorporates a TV, DVD, Kitchen and Toilet Facilities and a seating area).
The word ‘Partnering’ is emphasised with this contract as the Asbestos Remediation Programme for the Council’s Educational and Social Building stock relyies on advanced planning techniques, strong project management and meticulous scheduling to ensure the majority of the works are carried out during school closure period and out of hours working.
